1970 was the first full year of Matchbox Superfast, the thin-axle, fast-wheel revolution that transformed the entire range after its late-1969 debut. Regular Wheels castings were converted one by one, making these transitional models a favourite hunting ground for vintage collectors. The cars on this list are where the Superfast legend truly began.
